(Spencer)--Seasons Center for Behavioral Health in Spencer has been awarded $1,911 from Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa to support improvements to the outdoor playground at Autumn’s Center, helping create a more welcoming, engaging, and therapeutic environment for the children and families served by the center.

The funds will be used to purchase shade structures, an outdoor picnic table, and games to enhance the playground and encourage outdoor play, recreation, and social interaction. The play area is reserved exclusively for Autumn’s Center clients to use while receiving services, providing a safe and welcoming space for therapeutic play, relaxation, and connection.

Autumn’s Center was closed for the past two years due to flood damage. As the center reopens, improvements to the outdoor space will complement the updated facility and help create a welcoming, safe, and therapeutic environment for children and families.
