Lake Park Residents to Vote on $4.6 Million Bond Issue for New Fire Station

(Lake Park)--Lake Park voters will go to the polls next Tuesday, November 3rd to decide the fate of a $4.6 Million Bond Issue to finance a new Fire Station and Emergency Services Center. Lake Park Fire Chief Brandon Ehret says the facility would be located on South Market Street near the First Presbyterian Church.

Ehret says the fire and ambulance services are currently in separate locations.

He says the new facility is needed to meet the future needs of both departments.

The bond issue requires 60-percent approval to pass. If approved, the city estimates an annual property tax increase of no more than $165 on a $100,000 home.
