(Sanborn)--A Spencer teenager was sent to the hospital after a two vehicle accident recently in Sanborn.
According to the Sanborn Police Department, 16-year-old Hunter Daggett of Hartley was driving a 2008 Pontiac westbound on West 4th Street in Sanborn and 16-year-old Rayne Tesch of Spencer was also westbound behind Daggett in a 2011 Chevy SUV.
The police report says that the vehicles had been driving from Sibley erratically and they continued to drive in a careless manner as they entered Sanborn. Police say Daggett turned onto 4th Street and Tesch turned behind him and attempted to pull alongside him. Daggett attempted to turn left into an alley, but the Tesch vehicle was beside him, and the vehicles collided, causing the Daggett Pontiac to strike and break a utility pole.
Tesch was taken by Sanborn Ambulance to Sanford Sheldon Hospital. A passenger in the Dagget vehicle was taken by a parent to Sanford Sheldon. Daggett was not injured.
So far, no charges had been filed as a result of the accident.
