(Algona)--Another area county is dealing with the issue of data centers.
The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors will host an informational meeting this Thursday, October 29th that will feature representatives from both local and statewide agencies. The meeting will begin at 5 PM in the Supervisors meeting room at the Kossuth County Courthouse.
Representatives from Kossuth Area Economic Development, Algona Municipal Utilities, Midland Power Cooperative, MidAmerican Energy, Alliant Energy, Titonka-Burt Communications, and the North Iowa Area Council of Governments are expected to be in attendance.
Last week, the Supervisors voted 3-2 to instruct the county’s planning and zoning commission to start the procedure for a possible moratorium on data center construction.
