(Spirit Lake)--A lake restoration project is underway at Marble Lake in Dickinson County. Chris La Rue, Wildlife Biologist with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, says Marble Lake is one of the vital shallow lakes in the Iowa Great Lakes Watershed.
La Rue outlines how far the lake will be drawn down.
He says the DNR monitors the condition of all shallow lakes in northwest Iowa.
A wetland restoration project is also being done this fall at the Welch Lake complex in Dickinson County.
