(Okoboji)--The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is investigating a boat crash that took place late Saturday afternoon in the Francis Sites area of East Lake Okoboji.
Photos posted on social media show a boat flipped upside down on a road near the shoreline. Another photo indicates the boat likely collided with a dock, hoist, and another boat, before crashing on land.
Initial reports indicated two people were trapped under the boat and had to be freed by fire and rescue crews. One of the two reportedly sustained serious injuries.
