Boil Order Lifted for City of Terril

(Terril)--The city of Terril has lifted the boil advisory that was in effect.

The advisory was issued Friday morning due to a programming issue with the city’s new water treatment facility that couldn’t be resolved prior to the town hitting a low pressure. City officials say the water tower nearly drained and didn’t re-fill. Terril residents were advised NOT to drink the water without boiling it first. The tests came back clean on Saturday and the order was lifted.

This is the second time in three months a boil advisory has been issued for Terril. The city will hold a public informational meeting regarding the ongoing water issues at 5:00 pm Monday, September 14th at the Terril Public Library.
