(Spencer)--The city of Spencer has received final approval for participation in a flood prediction pilot project involving the Iowa Flood Center, NASA, Rutgers University and the University of Iowa. City Manager Kevin Robinson says Spencer was the only municipality in Iowa selected for the project.
On a related topic, Robinson says the Army Corps of Engineers has launched a study of the Little Sioux River.
Robinson made his comments at this week’s Spencer City Council meeting.
