(Estherville)--Mediacom is reporting a fiber line cut this morning south of Estherville on Highway 4.
Emmet County Emergency Management Director Travis Sheridan Repair crews have been dispatched and are working to restore service. This outage may impact cable television, internet service, and potentially cellular service in the area.
Residents are encouraged to have more than one way to communicate and receive emergency information during the outage. Do not rely solely on internet-based or cellular communications for emergency alerts.
Update at 4 pm: repairs are expected to be complete in the next hour
