(Jackson, MN)--Voters in the Jackson County Central Community School District will again head to the polls this November to decide the fate of an operating referendum. JCC Superintendent Mike Neubeck says this year’s proposal does not include a funding request for capital projects.
Neubeck details the increase in the operating levy they are seeking.
He says the current levy hasn’t kept up with inflation.
Neubeck says the new referendum will not have as much of an impact on agricultural land.
Neubeck says if the operating levy fails, the JCC School District will be forced to cut an additional $800,000 to $1 million from next year’s budget.
