
(Washington, D.C.)—The Federal Emergency Management Agency has announced the city of Estherville will receive funding from the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
The city of Estherville will receive $133,600 to fund property acquisitions, elevations, mitigation reconstruction and flood proofing.
Elsewhere in northwest Iowa, Sioux County was awarded funding including $2.7 million for the acquisition of seven residential structures that were damaged by flooding; and about $110,000 to fund the sub-recipient management costs to acquire those structures.
