(Okoboji)--Members of the Arnolds Park/Okoboji Fire and Rescue Department are preparing for their annual Labor Day Auction. AP-O firefighter Duane Zahradnik says the auction will begin at 1pm on Monday, September 7th at the Barefoot Bar in Okoboji. Zahradnik says this is the 40th year for the auction.
Zahradnik says there’s something for everyone at this year’s auction.
He says 100-percent of the proceeds will go toward the department’s fire boat.
The current fire boat is 22 years old and Zahradnik says they plan to start a capital campaign next year to raise funds to purchase a new boat.
