(Terril)--The city of Terril has a new mayor and council member.
The Terril city council Wednesday evening appointed Mark Lair to fill out the remaining term of former Mayor Julie Theissen who resigned earlier this month. Lair is a business owner and former member of the Terril City Council.
The council also appointed Greg Valentine to fill a vacancy on the council created by the recent resignation of Amy Ness.
