(Lakefield, MN)--Lakefield Police Chief Roger D. Pohlman has announced his retirement effective December 31st.
Pohlman’s career includes 21 years of military service, including 10 years as active Air Force Security Police. Pohlman spent 16 years with the Grand Forks, North Dakota Police Department; eight-plus years as Red Wing, Minnesota Police Chief; and the past five plus years serving as police chief for the city of Lakefield.
During Pohlman’s tenure, the Lakefield Police Department emphasized community policing through education, partnerships and enforcement.
