(Emmetsburg)--The 2026 Palo Alto County Fair is being held this week in Emmetsburg. This is the 100th Anniversay for the event. Palo Alto County Fair Manager Clyde Johnson says activities got underway this past Saturday with a kick-off BBQ that included the crowning of Trista Guinn of Graettinger as Fair Queen. Johnson says the first full day of events is this Thursday.
The final event on Thursday is a truck pull with the Western Iowa Pullers at 7:00. Johnson says Friday begins with the Swine Show followed by a chamber coffee.
Also on Friday there will be music by Scott Kirkhart from 7 until 10 pm. Johnson says Saturday begins with the beef show at 8 am.
He says the fair wraps-up on Sunday with several more events.
