(Peterson)--Two people were arrested on drug charges following the execution of a search warrant last Thursday in Peterson.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office executed the search warrant at around 12:10 pm at 9 East 3rd St in Peterson. During the search, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. 50-year-old Norman Escalera and 31-year-old Tyrel Mccallister were both placed under arrest and transported to the Clay County Jail without incident.
Escalera was charged with possession of a controlled substance-3rd offense, a Class "D" felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mccallister was charged with possession of a controlled substance-marijuana-3rd offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were being held in the Clay County Jail to appear before the magistrate.
