(Okoboji)--Registration is underway for the 5th annual Okoboji Writers and Songwriters Retreat set for September 27th-30th at Iowa Lakeside Lab. Organizer Julie Gammack, a former columnist with the Des Moines Register, started the writer’s retreat in 2021. Gammack says the retreat is for all skill levels.
Gammack says one of this year’s featured speakers is David Kirkpatrick, former President of Paramount Pictures and a former executive with Disney.
She says there will be dozens of other presenters during the conference.
Gammack says the conference has grown rapidly over the past five years.
