Milford Woman Facing Charges After Traffic Stop Near Alton

(Alton)--A Milford woman is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop last week near Alton.

According to the Orange City Police Department, at around 7:30 pm on June 29th, a 2013 Chrysler Sebring driven by 34-year-old Laurel Rowland of Milford was driving slowly in the left lane of the Highway 60 expressway about a mile northeast of Alton.

Police say Rowland admitted there was marijuana in the center console of the vehicle, and two baggies of marijuana plant material and a THC vape during a consent search.

Rowland was charged with first-offense possession of a controlled substance-marijuana, driving while barred, and driving while her license was denied, suspended, canceled, or revoked.
