(Estherville)--Crops around northwest and north central Iowa are doing well after getting a boost from recent rains. ISU Extension Agronomist Gentry Sorenson.
In some cases, the rain was accompanied by hail and high winds and Sorenson says there were some scattered reports of crop damage.
Sorenson says so far there have been few reports of disease or insects.
He says there have been a few reports of tar spot in corn around the state but none so far in northwest Iowa.
