Iowa State Patrol Planned Stepped-Up Enforcement During Holiday Weekend

(Estherville)—Highways across Iowa and nationwide will be very busy during the 4th of July holiday weekend. Iowa State Trooper Kevin Krull says state and local law enforcement will be conducting stepped-up enforcement during the holiday weekend.

 

 

 

 

Krull says a major emphasis will be cracking down on impaired driving.

 

 

 

 

He says hot weather can increase the effect of alcohol on your body.

 

 

 

 

Krull says eight people were killed on Iowa roads during last year’s 4th of July weekend.
