Local Lawmaker Critical of Recent Reports Put Out by State Auditor

(Des Moines)--A local Republican lawmaker says two reports put out by Iowa State Auditor Rob Sand, the Democrat nominee for Governor, seem more like political statements. State Representative John Wills, a Republican from Spirit Lake, says on June 10th, the State Auditor issued a report on “Pharmacy Benefit Manager practices related to Iowa Medicaid”.

Wills says one week later, the Auditor’s office put out a report on Educational Savings Accounts claiming taxpayers are paying over $37,000 for each student who supposedly switched from public schools to private schools.

Wills also responded to Sand’s campaign allegations that Republican Gubernatorial nominee Zach Lahn is not a full time Iowan.

Wills is unopposed for re-election in November.
