Minnesota Man Facing Felony Drug Charges After Estherville Traffic Stop

(Estherville)--A southwest Minnesota man was arrested on felony drug charges after a traffic stop earlier this month in Estherville.

 

23-year-old Daniel Villages of Marshall, Minnesota is charged with two controlled substance violations, a class D felony, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, also a class D felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

According to a criminal complaint filed by the Estherville Police Department, the stop occurred just before 11:10 pm on June 19th. Villages was found to be in possession of 119.7 grams of a green leafy substance with the odor of marijuana, 9.7 grams of THC wax, a black electronic scale and a clear grinder containing a green leafy substance.

 

Villages was released from jail after posting a surety bond.

 

A preliminary hearing is set for July 10th at 3:45 pm in Emmet County District Court.
