Estherville Man Facing Felony Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

(Estherville)--An Estherville man is facing a felony drug charge after a traffic stop last weekend.

 

According to a criminal complaint filed by the Estherville Police Department, a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Alfredo Ortigoza Cabrera was stopped at around 4:30 am on June 20th. Ortigoza Cabrera was found to be in possession of methamphetamine in a plastic baggy along with a scale and a pipe with residue. He is charged with a controlled substance violation, a class C felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended, cancelled or revoked, failure to provide proof of financial liability and failure to obey a traffic control device.

 

A preliminary hearing for Oritgoza Cabrera is scheduled for June 30th in Emmet County District Court.
