
(Bancroft)--A Bancroft man was arrested this past weekend after allegedly threatening a woman with a gun during a domestic disturbance.
According to the criminal complaint, Bancroft Police responded to a domestic incident around 3:30 an Sunday, and after conducting a brief investigation, arrested 37-year-old Max Laubenthal. The complaint alleges that Laubenthal threatened to shoot his girlfriend during an argument and that several weapons were present inside the residence.
Laubenthal was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault while Displaying or Using a Weapon. He was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
Court records also show that a no contact order has been issued to prevent Laubenthal from having any contact with the alleged victim in this case.
