(Arnolds Park)—Musicians under the age of 21 are invited to enter the 2026 Iowa Rocks Talent Contest, sponsored by the Iowa Rock n Roll Music Association. Ted Poulson, President of the Association, says this is the 12th year for the contest.
There are two divisions of competition: individual artists and bands. Poulson says the first part of the competition will be conducted virtually through online submissions.
He says the finalists will perform Labor Day Weekend in the Iowa Great Lakes.
The finals will be held at the Pearson Lakes Arts Center. Poulson says the winning band will receive a recording session at Catamount Studios in Cedar Falls. He says they are also trying to arrange a recording session for the winner of the individual contest. Applications can be submitted on line at iowarocknroll.com/iowarockstalent. The deadline to enter is 11:59 pm on July 31st.
