(Spirit Lake)--The Spirit Lake Protective Association has adopted a new slogan “look to the north”. SLPA President John Smeltzer explains how the slogan came about.
Smeltzer says the slogan reinforces the SLPA’s commitment to improving water quality.
He says while the association relies mostly on funding from Iowa sources, they also apply for grants from the state of Minnesota.
Smeltzer says the grant application is for $5.2 million.
