Two People Sent to Hospital After Accident in Clay County

(Dickens)--Two people were sent to the hospital after a single vehicle accident Sunday morning near Turnbull Lake.

 

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happed shortly before 9:15 am in the 3300 block of 310th Ave. or County Road N-14. Upon investigation, it was determined that 30-year-old Nyamukal Lual of Storm Lake was driving a 2014 Chevy Sonic southbound on N-14 she left the roadway and struck the ditch.

 

Lual and one passenger were transported to Spencer Hospital. Lual reportedly received incapacitating injuries. The remaining two passengers were checked by ambulance crews and released.

 

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Spencer Hospital Ambulance, Ruthven Fire and Rescue, Dickens Fire and Rescue, Iowa DNR and Iowa State Troopers.

 

The accident remains under investigation.
