(Ames)--The Iowa DOT has released a final vision document after looking at future transportation needs on U.S. Highway 18 from Sanborn to U.S. Highway 71 on the north edge of Spencer. DOT Location Engineer Gary Harris says the improvements recommended in this vision document recommends a Super-2 Highway Concept for that 26-mile stretch of Highway 18.
Harris says the Super 2 Highway concept will help speed-up the flow of traffic.
He says no funds have been allocated for work on the proposed project.
