(Estherville)--The Estherville City Council has approved an urban forestry development agreement with JEO Consulting Group in the amount of $23,470. The city had previously been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Iowa DNR for a creating an urban forestry plan. Estherville City Administrator Penny Clayton.
Clayton says the development of an urban forestry plan could lead to more grant opportunities.
She says the percentage of ash trees in the city needs to be reduced.
The council approved the agreement at their meeting on Monday evening.
