(Estherville)--State, county and local law enforcement officers are running a special traffic enforcement effort through the rest of this month. Iowa State Trooper Kevin Krull says this is a "Click It or Ticket" program targeting seatbelt use.
Krull says the fine for not wearing your seat belt has increased significantly over the years.
He said you should buckle-up no matter where you are in the vehicle.
Krull also reminds drivers about the hands free driving law which went into effect last year. He says drivers need to break the habit of picking-up their cell phone when it rings.
