Spirit Lake Man Injured in Two Vehicle Accident in South Central Minn.

(St. James, MN)--A Spirt Lake man was one of three people injured in a two vehicle accident Sunday evening in South Central Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the accident happened around 5:40 pm near St. James in Watonwan County. The patrol says a 2007 Toyota Highlander driven by 74-year-old Sharon Mordoski of Minneapolis was travelling southbound from the rest area across Highway 60 and a 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora driven by 20-year-old Garrett Schellenberg of Spirit Lake was travelling westbound on Highway 60. Troopers say the vehicles collided in the left lane of westbound Highway 60.

Mordoski was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital in Mankato with life threatening injuries. Schellenberg  and a passenger, 20-year-old Jeremiah Cash of Craig, Nebraska were taken to the St. James Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The patrol says road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.
