Fairmont Woman Injured in Two Vehicle Accident on I-90

(Austin, MN)--A Fairmont woman was sent to the hospital after a two vehicle accident Sunday evening on Interstate 90 in Freeborn County.

 

The Minnesota State Patrol says the accident happened around 9:20 pm west of Austin. The patrol says a 2018 Ford Escape and a 2010 Chrysler 300 were both westbound on Interstate 90 when they collided. The driver of the Chrysler, 46-year-old Christina McDonald of Fairmont, was taken by ambulance to the Albert Lea Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

 

The driver of the Ford Escape, 22-year-old Gavin Taylor of Bothell, Wisconsin and two passengers in his vehicle, were not injured.

 

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Hayward Fire and Mayo Ambulance assisted at the scene.
