(Spirit Lake)--A longtime member of the Spirit Lake School Board is stepping down.
Teresa Beck has announced she’ll be resigning from her position effective May 11th. Beck has served on the board for 15 years including 9 and-a-half as Board President. In a news release, Beck says it has been an honor to serve the Spirit Lake community as a member of the school board and she is incredibly proud of the work done during her time on the board.
According to the news release, the board intends to fill the vacancy by appointment in accordance with district policy. Additional information regarding the application and appointment process will be forthcoming.
