(Milford)--The City of Milford Monday evening formally approved a Resolution of Support for a proposed manufacturing expansion by Rosenboom Machine and Tool.
The project includes the acquisition and build-out of a new manufacturing facility located at the former Oakhill Outdoor building located at 2188 Highway 86 in Milford. The new facility will provide additional capacity, improved production layouts, and expanded use of advanced automation that cannot be accommodated within the current facility footprint.
Project activity is anticipated to begin on or around June 1st with development and implementation expected to occur over a four- to five-year timeframe.
The Milford expansion is expected to create approximately 70 to 80 new full-time positions.
Headquartered in Northwest Iowa, Rosenboom operates manufacturing facilities in Sheldon and Spirit Lake as well as Bowling Green, Ohio.
The project is being advanced in coordination with the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) through the Business Incentives for Growth (BIG) Program, as well as the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation and local partners.
The City’s Resolution of Support enables continued coordination among state, regional, and local stakeholders as the project progresses through review and implementation phases.
