Youth in Philanthropy Sets Fundraising Record

(Okoboji)--The Okoboji Foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy program has set a new fundraising record.

The 2024/25 YIP students raised $112,346, far surpassing their goal of $75,000. The program received a generous $10,000 matching grant from a donor late in the fundraising period, to help break the record.

14 students surpassed their $2,500-plus personal fundraising goal with one student, Joey Andres, raising a record $13,438. Wesley Evans sets a new record for donations to one student with 41.

The students will be recognized during the Okoboji Foundation’s Summer Celebration on June 27th at the Roof Garden at Arnolds Park Amusement Park.
