
(Washington, D.C.)--Iowa 4th District Congressman Randy Feenstra has announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency, under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has awarded more than $5.9 million in federal disaster recovery grants to Buena Vista County, Cherokee County, and the City of Spencer following devastating floods and severe storms.
The funding will support critical infrastructure repairs, wastewater treatment facility upgrades, and transportation improvements across the region.
The city of Spencer was awarded more than $2.3 million, Buena Vista County Conservation Board will receive more than $2.2 million and the City of Cherokee will receive more than $1.4 million.
