(Washington, D.C.)--Iowa Senator Joni Ernst, Chair of the Senate Small Business Committee has announced her Small Business of the Week is Sievert’s Furniture & Floors of Estherville. Throughout the 119th Congress, Ernst plans to recognize a small business in each of Iowa’s 99 counties.
In a news release, Ernst says for over 50 years, Sievert’s Furniture & Floors has been furnishing excellence by providing the Emmet County community with mattresses, recliners, flooring, and so much more.
In 1970, John Raymond “Doc” Sievert and his wife, Judy, opened Sievert’s Refrigeration, an appliance store that they ran out of their garage. After years of hard work, the Sieverts grew and expanded the business into a furniture and flooring store, offering a wide selection of mattresses, furniture, recliners, sofas, flooring, and decorative home furnishings. In 2015, their son Jeff took over the family business and has carried on his parent’s legacy and the business’ family-centered approach.
