Iowa Great Lakes Fishing Club Hosting Kids Fishing Clinics

(Spirit Lake)--The Iowa Great Lakes Fishing Club is inviting area youth ages 15 and under to attend kids fishing clinics in Spirit Lake and Spencer. Fishing Club member Steve Weisman says the first clinic is Wednesday at Memorial Park in Spirit Lake across from the Highway 9 Bridge. Weisman says registration begins at 4:30 pm and the clinic begins at 5. He says each kid will receive a rod and reel combo from the Iowa Great Lakes Fishing Club.

 

 

 

 

After the seminars, Weisman says the kids will get a chance to fish.

 

 

 

 

He says prizes will be awarded.

 

 

 

 

A hot dog meal will be served after the fishing. Weisman says a second kids fishing clinic will be held next Wednesday, April 29th at the Stolley Pit in Spencer. The events are free to all area youth and pre-registration is not required.
