(Algona--A Fenton man is facing a felony drunk driving charge after a traffic stop late last week near Algona.
The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office says the stop happened around 1:30 pm on Friday, April 10th on U.S. Highway 169 in rural Algona. The driver was identified as 34-year-old Andrew Kronmiller. According to the criminal complaint, Deputies could smell alcohol coming from Kronmiller, and conducted a field-sobriety test. Kronmiller consented to a breathalyzer exam, which registered above the legal limit of .08, at which time he was taken into custody.
Kronmiller was charged with Operating While Intoxicated 3rd or Subsequent Offense, a Class D Felony, as well as Driving While Barred and booked into the Kossuth County Jail.
