
(Washington, D.C.)--U.S. Department of Transportation has announced that Iowa will receive over $64 million in federal aid to help replace 67 bridges and culverts in poor condition.
Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says several of the projects are in northwest Iowa including Emmet, Buena Vista, Dickinson, Kossuth, Osceola and Pocahontas counties.
The awards will be administered through the D.O.T’s Competitive Highway Bridge Program.
A total of 40 Iowa counties were awarded funding.
