No Injuries in Fire at Estherville Apartment House

(Estherville)--No one was injured in a fire Sunday afternoon at an apartment house in Estherville. The fire was reported shortly before 4:15 pm in the 500 block of South 10th St. Estherville Fire Chief Travis Sheridan says the fire started on a back deck on the second floor of the building.

 

 

 

 

Sheridan says the cause of the fire is believed to be discarded smoking materials.

 

 

 

 

Residents were allowed to return to their apartments. Sheridan says firefighters were on scene for about 40 minutes. The Wallingford Fire Department, Estherville Police Department, Estherville Ambulance Service and Emmet County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
