Upper Elementary Student of the Month
Citizenship November 2018
This month’s upper elementary Student of Character is Samson Mittrucker. Samson is being recognized for showing good Citizenship, which is this month’s positive character trait.
He is the son of Corey and Pamela Mittrucker and is the brother to Isaiah, who is five years old and in the ELC transitional kindergarten room this year. Samson also has a dog named Snow. Samson is in 3rd grade and has Mrs. Theresa Nerem as a teacher this year.
Samson has many interests in school and at home. He likes to play outside as well as on his iPad. He is really interested in math at school and his favorite color is red. Of course, he also loves to play with his dog Snow.
If you were to ask the Demoney Elementary Staff about Samson, they would say, “He is a friend to everyone” and “He is a very caring and respectful student.”
Samson was chosen by his grade level teachers for Citizenship because of his actions in school and in the community. Samson follows the classroom and school expectations. He knows the difference between right and wrong and lives his life doing the right things in school and at home. Samson also helps others in the classroom by encouraging them to follow the expectation. He is always the first one to do the “extra” things to make the classroom a special place to be.
Samson believes his parents will be very proud of him when they hear he is the Student of Character for Demoney upper elementary. He also wants to encourage other students to “be nice to each other” as this is why he believes he was nominated by his teachers.
The ELC School District, KILR, and the community of Estherville would like to thank Samson for being a person of character and leadership!
