Clay County Heritage Museum Hosting Civil War Presentation

(Spencer) - The Clay County Heritage Museum will be hosting a Civil War presentation on Tuesday, March 26th from 4-5 p.m. at the Heritage Center on 7 Grand Avenue in Spencer. Museum Director Stephanie Horsley says the program will feature Civil War re-enactors.

Besides presenting at the Heritage Center, the re-enactors will also perform for residents at the Longhouse and Northshire care centers in Spencer. Horsley says the program is being held as part of the museum's current exhibit.

The exhibit remains open until May 25th. The Civil War presentation is a free will donation with proceeds benefitting Clay County Heritage and its annual programming. On another topic, Horsley says they are seeking items to display for their next exhibit on the Cold War.

If you have items for possible display, call the Clay County Heritage Center at 712-262-3304.
