Name of Person Killed in Sheldon Apt. Fire Released

(Sheldon)--The name of the person killed in a Sheldon apartment fire late last month has been released.


Officials say the body of 60-year-old Marlyn Anderson was identified by the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s office on Thursday.


Anderson’s body was found inside a bedroom of his apartment in the early morning hours of April 25th after fire crews found heavy smoke and flames coming the structure that ultimately led to mutual aid being requested from Sanborn.


Structural damage was also reported to neighboring apartments that displaced nearly a dozen people. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
