Hillary Ruschy was born on December 13, 2006

Hillary is 11 years old and in 4th grade this year at Demoney Elementary.

Family:

Hillary is the daughter of Neal and Bobbi Jo Ruschy.

Quotes from staff/teachers:

Hillary is a kind and caring person who puts other people’s feelings first.  She wants to see others happy.  Hillary is the kind of person who will step in when she sees her help is needed.  She is willing to help her classmates academically and always includes everyone. She always works hard and is full of knowledge and loves to discuss ideas and information with teachers and other students.

Trait Information:

She was chosen by her grade level to represent the character trait  “Wisdom and Humility” due to her actions in school and in the community.  Hillary “thinks" before she "does."  She helps other people, she includes others and is not afraid to put other’s needs before her own. Hillary is a great role model in the classroom.

Other Ideas:

When she grows up she wants to work with animals.

How she felt when she found out. “I felt excited, proud, happy when I found out I was chosen for student of the month.”

What wisdom and humility means to me: “To me wisdom and humility means thinking of other people before yourself, always being kind, and helping others.”

What she thinks her parents will say when they hear she was chosen: “My parents always tell me to be humble and kind like Tim McGraw’s song.  My parents will be proud of me.”

Some of her favorites: “One of my favorite family traditions is our whole family goes to Wild Water West for the last few summers.  One of my favorite family memories is when I went to California.  I loved going to the beach.”

The ELC School District, KILR, and the community of Estherville would like to thank Hillary for being a person of character and leadership!
